Narcissus and the poet, once consumed by a mutual infatuation, had grown weary of their superficial flirtations. Their initial passion had given way to a more destructive obsession, a toxic dance of self-absorption and mutual destruction.
They sought solace in each other's physicality, their bodies becoming a battlefield of pleasure and pain. They admired their own reflections in each other, using their shared vanity to fuel their
creative pursuits. Yet, their desires were ultimately hollow, driven by a need to outshine the other. As time passed, their passion waned, leaving them feeling empty and devoid of purpose. They watched the world around them with a detached indifference, their own lives reduced to a meaningless existence.
A spark of anger ignited within them as they witnessed the turmoil of the moon. This external chaos mirrored their own internal turmoil, jolting them out of their apathy.
Driven by a newfound urgency, they embarked on a journey together, their paths intertwining once more. The aftershocks of their past relationship reverberated within them, forcing them to confront their destructive patterns.
In a desperate attempt to reclaim their lost selves, they turned to their reflections, seeking solace in the familiar. And once again, they found themselves drawn to the act of creation, using their words to explore the depths of their own narcissism.
